Tea in London

The January 2008 issue of tea magazine features Tea With … Tara Calcraft from the Tea Palace in Notting Hill, London. For Tara, it all started with a personal passion for tea developed during her travels. Her ambition is to sell the finest quality teas; seasonal teas from tea estates all over the world. All the teas at the Tea Palace are whole leaf teas, with the exception of their “Builder’s Brew”. She also set out to estabish a tea room where afternoon tea was served, without the high prices that are often associated with it in the heart of London.

Margaret Thornby says:

“This is a superb tea room, where the ritual of tea making and drinking is truly celebrated and enjoyed. Added to that is some quite splendid food, from lunches to full afternoon tea. If you are heading for London, I urge you to visit.”
